A prominent feature of the worship experience here at First Assembly is praise to our God, and His Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Led by worship director, D'Leigh Bishop, our worship team seeks to honor  God while leading the congregation into His presence. If God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3) through worship, we endeavor to build for God a place among us in which He can dwell.
Service to God and to one another is the essence of living out our Christian faith. As a community of faith, it is our desire, as God enables, to meet the needs of the disabled and those less fortunate. We embrace the words of  Jesus, "as you have done it unto the least of these you have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40)
It is our conviction that our devotion to God should not be confined to the four walls of the church, but should be shared with everybody, everywhere. At First Assembly we have conducted city-wide evangelism outreaches for years. We also sponsor on-campus events to which the general public is invited to attend at which time we can display the life-changing power of Christ. We embrace the admonishment of Christ regarding outreach:   “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Matthew 9:37-38
