Tis The Season...
The crisp, cool air, the falling of leaves, and the excitement of the coming season means that the holidays are upon us here at First Assembly of God. “This holiday season is shaping up to be the best yet,” says Pastor Randy. The holiday schedule at First Assembly may be a busy one, but it is always full of fun and excitement for all ages.
Our holiday dinners are the first events on the agenda. This year, our all-church Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30pm. The all-church Christmas Dinner will be on Wednesday, December 19 at 6:30pm. Make sure to sign-up to bring a side and enjoy a night of laughter and reminiscing with your church family.
The week of Thanksgiving we will have a slight change in schedule as we have service on Tuesday, November 20 for our midweek service. This enables our church family to travel and be safe during the Thanksgiving holidays.
Next is the ever popular Celebrate Christmas service which has become a crowd favorite over the past few years. This is a night full of music, laughter, and touching moments as we celebrate the kickoff of the Christmas season with songs, skits, and special entertainment. We will finish with the annual reading of the Christmas story by Pastor Randy to the children of First Assembly. This heart-warming night will be on Sunday, December 2 at 6:00pm.
Pastor Aaron and his cast will take center stage the following Sunday evening, December 9, as they present a wonderful Christmas production entitled P.S. Merry Christmas.
Kids of Praise children’s ministry, directed by Cadi Bassett, will present An Out of the Box Christmas for the church on December 16.
We will also have no evening service on December 23 to allow our people time to celebrate with family.
All of this is also in addition to a powerful new Christmas series that Pastor Randy has been preparing for his Sunday morning messages. Each Sunday morning in December leading up to Christmas Pastor Randy will give a message centering around the Christmas season. Make sure to come and be a part of all that is happening this season at First Assembly.
