Fall Festivities are Underway!
First Assembly’s Fall Family Event is right around the corner, and preparations are underway. Fall Family Night will take place on Wednesday, October 31, beginning at 6pm and will last until 8pm. “This event is such a great success due to the number of people coming together to make it happen. We couldn't do it without the contributions and hard work of our volunteers.” says Pastor Randy.
If you would like to find a way to help, there are several options, such as donating wrapped candy. We need as much as possible for this event. “We like to give away candy to each child that participates in a game, and just throughout the night. We love for each child to go back home with a great big grin and a basket full of candy from a church who loves their community!” says Cadi Bassett.
Secondly, baking a cake, or cakes for the cake walk which is always a huge success. We like to bless as many people as possible with a delicious baked treat.
You can also decorate your trunk for trunk-or-treat. The family awarded the best trunk will receive a Visa gift card. Gift cards will also be given out in each age division’s costume contest.
Lastly, you can VOLUNTEER! There are always inflatables, games, face painting, food booths, and so much more that will need an extra hand. Just like in years past we will have popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs, hot dogs, nachos, and drinks.
If you would like to help, please be on the lookout for the sign-up sheets in the coming weeks as well as the candy donation basket. If you have any questions, please see Cadi Bassett or contact the church office.
