Community of Love
We at First Assembly of God have deemed the month of November the “Love Our Community Month”. In an effort to show that we love our community we have two projects that we are asking for your help with.
First, we will be providing Veteran’s Day gift baskets to the residents of the Cedar Ridge Retired Veterans Facility located in Jemison. They have a total of twenty beds for retired and disabled veterans. If you would like to sponsor a gift basket for one of these American heroes the cost is $35.00. We ask that all money for gift baskets be turned in no later than Wednesday, November 7 so that we can purchase the baskets for the weekend. Also, if you would like to help deliver the baskets to the facility, on Sunday, November 11, please contact Julie Brown and let her know.
Our second project is for the Chilton County Humane Society. In an effort to defray some of their costs during the holiday season we will be hosting a “Dry Dog Food Drive”. We are asking that all of the dog lovers at First Assembly help out by buying a bag of dry dog food and delivering it to the church on Sunday, November 25. The brand and size does not matter, only that we support this much needed service.
