A Legacy of Ministry Continues
Many years ago, the people of First Assembly of God took a bold, new step into ministering like never before. We as a church family joined together with other churches from the Montgomery Section and participated in our first ever 100 Man Challenge with Johnny Jernigan. This event’s soul purpose was to evangelize the community and reach people for Christ through very simple means. “Since that time,” says Pastor Randy, “we have continued this outreach to our community each year.” He went on to say that to his knowledge this is the longest running annual outreach in the state.”
This year we will continue this “history of ministry” with the Annual Spring Outreach that is scheduled for Saturday, April 13. There will be something for everyone to do on this incredible day as we reach out to the city of Clanton through free car washes, door-to-door prayer ministries, a kids outreach, the FUEL Book of Hope giveaway and much more. Everyone is encouraged to come and be a part of this great event by helping at one of the venues.
We are also asking for the First Assembly of God family to support this event financially as well. Each year, most of the money that is needed for this event to be a success is donated by the church family. If you would like to sow a seed into this powerful day of ministry, simply put your gift into a tithing envelope and make sure to mark “Spring Outreach” on it. Thank you again for helping create this Legacy of Ministry with us.
